1ST SAHPA Booroorban Open 2003

Reg & Regina Muller

When Salisbury flyer Reg Muller won the Booroorban Open it was a little like knocking the Monkey off your back.

Reg and his Wife Regina have made a specialty of Winning the faster Races and there would not be a more Competitive Loft in Adelaide around the 350 mile distance.

Reg is a fierce trier himself and loves Competition. He likes the North Races because they are more predictable. You know when to expect the Birds and a good fast Pigeon tends to be more reliable.

But you'd be badly mistaken if you didn't recognise that Reg likes a challenge and nothing fires him up more than hearing someone say "He's only a Sprint Flyer."

He hasn't tended to Race distance Birds on the harder East Line, but he knows how to condition a Bird and his 3rd SAHPA Moulamein Derby in 1997 when they came in like Brown's cows was an indicator that Reg can fly the slower Races.

In the last couple of years, he has set out to develop a Family to complement his faster Imported Birds. Apart from developing those that have shown up on the East Line, he has added Birds from Marafiote, Fewings and Van Der Linden to bolster his Team.

It was from this Family that his Winner came.

Reg Muller is a real character. He can be outspoken but many feel this covers up for shyness. Anyone that gets up at 2 am to buy Fruit & Veg for the Market is naturally a Loner not by choice.

Reg thinks nothing of loading the Birds up of an Afternoon and heading off to Blyth, Port Clinton & Locheal. During the Season he does it on most days when he really should be sleeping. He deserves the successes that inevitably follow him.
