TREASURER’S MONTHLY REPORT: The Treasurer presented his Report for the period 1st December 2004 through to the 28th February 2005. The Report indicates a Profit for this period, which is in line with the same period for 2004, allowing for the deduction of the Life Ring Provision incorporated in the 2004 Profit & Loss Statement. The cost of Stock Purchases due at the end of March and Insurance Premiums will have an impact in the near future. 6. CORRESPONDENCE IN: 1. Fax from Mr. P. Fax from Mr. W. Markou – Application for the Position of Main Unit Cleaner for the 2005 Season. Action: Mr W Markou has Been approved as Main Unit Cleaner for the 2005 Season. 3. E-mail from W & K Moyle – Advising that they are no longer Members of the Millswood Inv. Homing Pigeon Club, and will be Applying to join Glenelg Club, also advising that the Millswood Club Are no longer Members of the S.A.R.P.F. Group. Action: Secretary to note for Future Reference. 4. E-mail from Mrs. M. Coleiro – Application for the Position of Headquarters’ Cleaner for the 2005 Season. Action: Secretary to file for when Applications are considered. 5. Letter from the Millswood Inv. Pigeon Racing Club – Advising that The Club will now be named the Millswood Central Inv. Pigeon Racing Club, with the Name Change being approved by the Members at the Club’s A.G.M. Action: Secretary to note change of name. 6. Letter from the Millswood Central Inv. Letter from the Millswood Central Racing Pigeon Club – Seeking Permission to become a Group Clocking Centre for the 2005 Season And to compete under the Name of the Millswood Central Racing Pigeon Group. Action: Millswood Central Racing Pigeon Club’s Request to become a Group Clocking Centre will be dealt with when The make-up of Group Clocking Centres are considered. 13. Letter from Mr. R. Sewer – Application for the Position of Unit Cleaner for the 2005 Season. Action. Mr R Sewer has been approved as Main Unit Cleaner for the 2005 Season. 14. Letter from Eastern Equity Insurance Brokers – Directors & Officers Liability and Corporate Reimbursement Insurance Proposal Form. Action: Secretary to check the Premium Costs for Extra Insurance Cover. 15. Letter from North Suburban Racing Pigeon Club - Advising of Office Bearers for the 2005 Season – Chairperson/Treasurer – Mr. L. Duits, Vice-Chairperson – Mr. R. Hocking, Secretary – Mr. R. Letter from Barossa Valley Racing Pigeon Club – Asking to be Recognized as a Hampering and Clocking Centre, and the availability Of a Computer & Internet connection. Firing off Procedure: The Management Committee are Investigating some Different Concepts of the Clock Firing-off procedure for the 2005 Season. A Trial Run in regards to these concepts will take place over the Club Races. 2. S.A.H.P.A. Inc. Sub-Committees: All Sub-Committees are now required to submit their intentions for The 2005 Season. Any Sub-Committee that intends operating this Year, must submit a list of Names of the Committee Members for the Management Committees’ Approval. Could Sub-Committee Secretaries please forward their list of Committee Members to the General Secretary. 3. A.P.F.A. Subscriptions – 2005 Club Secretaries are requested to ask Members of their Club if they intend to join the A.P.F.A. in the 2005 Season. Please forward list of Members plus $4.40 fee to the General Secretary. 4. Freight Tender – 2005: Freight Tenders are now invited for all Races for 2005 Season. Tender Submissions are to be enclosed in a Sealed Envelope Marked “Tender for S.A.H.P.A. Inc. Transportation” and to be forwarded to: - The General Secretary S.A.H.P.A. Bird Qualification – 2005 Season: The only Bird Qualification for the 2005 Season is in respect to Young Birds, which must have flown a Club Race on the Relevant Line of Flight to be eligible to compete in the Derbies. A Young Bird may fly both Derbies, so long as it has flown one (1) Club Race on each Line of Flight. 6. Tenders for Pigeon Feed & Straw Medium: Tenders are invited for the Supply of Pigeon Feed and Straw Medium for the Main Unit for the 2005 Season. Action: Secretary to contact suitable Suppliers to invite Tenders. Tenders Close – Thursday 7th April – 5.00 pm 7. Stock Order Night: Stock Orders with Price-List will be forwarded to Club Secretaries by 14th April. Inc. Headquarters on Tuesday 17th May between 6.00 pm – 7.30 pm 8. S.A.H.P.A. Inc. Canteen: The S.A.H.PA. Inc. Management Committee are seeking Volunteers To assist with the Running of the S.A.H.P.A. Headquarters Cleaning Contract: Applications are now being called for the Contract Position of Headquarters Cleaning. The Baulderstone Road Complex is to be Cleaned (Toilets, Office, Hall Interior and Canteen Area) once a Fortnight (Minimum) in the Race Season & once a Month in the Off Season. Applicants will be required to List Price/Quote for the conduct of Such Contract. Animal Expo: The Management Committee would like to acknowledge their Appreciation of the following people for their contribution to the Promotion of the Sport by giving their time at the 2005 Animal Expo. Inc 2004 Year Book will be available to Members When Clubs collect their Stock Orders on Tuesday 17th May 2005. 12. Electronic Timing System: All Members who intend to use the Electronic Timing System for the 2005 Season must attend a Meeting at the S.AH.P.A. Inc. Headquarters to be held on Tuesday 17th May 2005 – 7.30 pm 13. Sealing of Club Hampers – S.A.H.P.A. Inc. Races: All Hampers containing Birds to be loaded onto the Main Race Unit – must be sealed with Clock Seals at the Club and Numbers recorded. Seal Numbers will be checked at Random – to ensure security of Birds on Route to S.A.H.PA. Inc. Headquarters. 14. Race Release Panel – 2005: The S.A.H.P.A. Inc. will have a Release Panel consisting of three (3) Members for the 2005 Season. Expression of Interest is being sought for a place on the Panel. All enquiries to the General Secretary – 82582516. 15. NPA & ACS Life Rings: Members Please be AWARE – The S.A.H.P.A. Inc. does not recognize Life Rings with the NPA & ACS Prefix. Any Birds rung with these Rings will be ineligible to compete in all Races that come under the Jurisdiction of the S.A.H.P.A. Inc. 16. Mr Tony Edinborough – Southern Districts Member: On behalf of the Members of the S.A.H.P.A. Inc., the Management Committee would like to acknowledge the passing of Tony Edinborough.
