MINUTES OF THE S.A.H.P.A. Inc.MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING HELD AT THE S.A.H.P.A. Inc. HEADQUARTERS ON MONDAY 16TH JULY 2008 -7.30PM.

 

1.CHAIRPERSON OPENED MEETING AT:     Attendance: Mr D.Thalbourne ( Chairperson ), Mr G.Hamilton, Mr W.Moyle, Mr K.Pridham, Mr G.Watson, Mr D.Walker,Mrs C.Myers(General Secretary) Mr D.Cawte, (Treasurer).

3. INVITED GUEST-  Mr Paul Springett Re: E.T.S Sub Committee:

           Discussions on rules regarding electronic timing systems .

           The sub-committee had a meeting and put forward to the management  

            Committee proposed changes to the rules for the committee to review.  

            Special meeting on the Thursday 31st July.

IF YOUR CLUB HAS LESS THAN SIX COMPETING

MEMBERS PLEASE  NOTIFY THE GENERAL SECRETARY WHERE YOU WILL BE HAMPERING FOR ASSOCIATION RACING.

5. INSURANCE QUOTE FROM V.F.P. INSURANCE BROKERS.

6. LETTER FROM BILL BUTTON RE:  Trophy for the longest race of the year ,each year on the opposite line of flight.

The trophy will be called the NEWLAND CUP which will be a perpetual cup with a small cup given to the winner.

9.GENERAL BUSINESS.

 

1.    SAFETY ON THE LOADING DOCK:    G.Watson,D.Walker and D.Thalbourne have been to Crown lifts to look for suitable lifting units to use for loading of birds into race unit that makes the loading of birds easier for members.We are looking for any new ideas from members for loading of the main unit ,so if you have a new idea let the General Secretary know.

 

 

2.    BIRD RETURNS FROM CLUBS: Clubs please ensure Bird Returns are returned to the General Secretary every week so we can get an idea of all returns for future racing purposes  Bird return sheets are available from the General Secretary.

 

 

3.    SATELLITE PHONE:     Quotes from Pivotel regards purchase of a satellite phone for the convoyer. Purchase of the phone has been approved.  Action: General Secretary to follow up.

 

4.    G.HAMILTON RE: Website management to be reviewed. Action: G.Hamilton to review.
