MINUTES OF THE S.A.H.P.A. Inc MANAGEMENT
COMMITTEE MEETING HELD AT THE S.A.H.P.A. Inc. HEADQUARTERS ON MONDAY 15TH
OCTOBER 2008 – 7.30 PM.

D Buxton
The Chairperson (Mr D Thalbourne) welcomed Mr D Buxton to the meeting.
Mr Buxton proceeded to distribute hard
copies of his and some members’ thoughts in relation to future racing,
especially in respect to Long Distance Flying.
The Management Committee will consider
the proposals at a future meeting.

TREASURER’S
REPORT:
The Treasurer presented his Report for
the period 1st December 2006 through to the 30th
September 2007.
The Report indicates a Profit has been
recorded for the period, with the Treasurer giving the
Management Committee a rundown of the ongoing Income & Expenses as the
Season draws to a close.

Letter
from the Barossa Valley Club – requesting a
certificate of recognition for L. Colegate & A Nielsen’s (Barossa Valley Affiliate Club Member) for their
bird in the Lyndhurst 8 Bird Event. Action:
The Management Committee have
approved a Certificate of Merit be issued to L Colgate & A Nielsen for the
bird’s performance in the Lyndhurst 8 Bird Event.

of Thanks – from the Royal Adelaide Show for
the Associations’ Sponsorship in 2007
4.
Minutes
of the S.A.H.P.A. Inc Promotions Sub-Committee – Meeting
held on Tuesday 25th September 2007. Action: Copy to all Club
Secretaries.
Points of Interest
a. Letter
to Kym Jones Exhibitions requesting the same position
for the Associations’ Promotions Stand at the 2008 Animal Expo.
b. The
approaching of the Parafield Gardens High School to renew correspondence.
c. The
pursuing of an Aviary for displaying Birds at the 2008 Animal Expo. Sheds Plus are willing to erect an Aviary.
d. Pursue
the cost of give-away items to promote the Sport.

From
the Glenelg Racing Pigeon Club – Requesting that
the Main Transport Unit be used for the remaining Races on the program. Action: The Management Committees’ intentions have always been to use the Main
Unit for S.A.H.P.A. Inc Races as can now be realized.
6.
Letter
from Mr C Moukas – Appealing
his Clubs’ result for the Coober Pedy
event on the 29.9.07. Mr Moukas believes the Winning
Owner’s time was read incorrectly. Action:
After consultation with the S.A.H.P.A.
Inc. Race Adjudicator Mr Moukas’s appeal has been
dismissed.

Mr P Antoney – Requesting late
Membership to the S.A.H.P.A. Inc. for 2007. Action: With respect to the
lateness of the Season, Mr P Antoney’s request could
not be accepted.
8.
Email
from Mr A Agar –
With reference to the issue of Clocking
Birds in the Night, and that the present system does not always reflect the
correct finishing order. Action: A Notice of Motion for Members consideration
at the 2008 A.G.M. is required for the alteration of the present system –
R.B.L. 18.

G Harris – advising that the Management
Committee will uphold the Lines of Flight Resolution that was ratified by
Members at the Lines of Flight Meeting held on the 29th August 2007.
2. Letter to
the Strathalbyn Group – Advising that the
Hampering R.B.L. 23 & Clock C.B.L. 8 Rules must be upheld.
3. Email to
Southern Vales Racing Pigeon Club – Advising
that their request in respect to the 2008 Race Program will be considered when
the Program is being drafted.
4. Letters
& Emails to all Club Secretaries – Advising
of Electorate Representatives Meetings to discuss the 2008 Race Program – with
the exception of the Western Electorate. Mr K Pridham to advise his Electorate Members.

– S.A.H.P.A. Inc. YEAR BOOK:
All Clubs/Groups who have any
information for Publishing in the 2007 Year Book have until the 30th November 2007 to forward
this information to the General Secretary.
The Association would like to hear from
any Member/s who would be able to take on the Role of formulating the 2007
S.A.H.P.A. Inc. Year Book.

General Secretary.
