1.CHAIRPERSON OPENED MEETING AT: 7.30 pm- Attendance: Mr B.Seedsman (Assistant Chairperson ), Mr G.Hamilton, Mr W.Moyle, Mr K.Pridham, Mr G.Watson, Mr D.Walker,Mrs C.Myers(General Secretary) Mr D.Cawte, (Treasurer).

3. INVITED GUEST- Mr G Harris discussion training for SAHPA –
Mr G Harris discussed SAHPA to put money towards the purchase of a truck for regular training for the Southern and western areas to take over the Southern Fed.
G.Harris and G.Watson to follow up with quotes for the purchase of a new truck to be presented to Management Committee after the AGM.
4.MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: Moved /Seconded / Carried.
5.BUSINESS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MEETING
1. G Watson – Quote for storm water piping from the drains to the road and levelling of car park with dolomite to rid the pot holes.
Action: Quote has been approved –General Secretary to organise for work to be done.
6. TREASURER’S MONTHLY:
The treasurer presented a copy of the auditors report to the management committee for the year ended 30th November 2008, a copy of which will be forwarded to all members along with advice of the AGM.
7. CORRESPONDENCE IN:
1. Letter from Liquor and gaming commissioner- changes to committee of management.
Action: General Secretary to return form
2. Letter from North East Club- Smithfield Pigeon Club Changes to the last two race points and the member’s dissatisfaction.
Action: The Management committee acknowledge the concerns from both clubs; the changing of the race points was in the best interests of the pigeons, due to the races from Cobar and Nyngan last year.
3. Letter from Central District Club- Notice of motion for AGM.
Action: Secretary to advise of a full list of notice of motions for members consideration in one process in accordance with the SAHPA Inc. constitution.
4. Notice of motion from the Management committee – for the AGM
Action: Secretary to advise of a full list of notice of motions for members consideration in one process in accordance with the SAHPA Inc. constitution.
5. Email from Gavin Harris- Special Races committee minutes.
Ø Seeking approval to conduct the Sires Classic from Maree ( subject to weather conditions.
Ø Approval to drug test Sires Produce winner
Ø Approval for all Sires birds to be hampered with yellow rubbers,any electronic rung pigeons must also have yellow rubbers for identification purposes so that scrutineers can easily check that birds are to be loaded correctly.
Pigeons for other races to have different rubbers to avoid confusion
6. Valuation for property – Full valuation for property and buildings on Baulderstone Rd from Valcorp.
Action: Secretary to file for records.
7. Email from Hyde Park – Re rebate for group phone.
Action: Treasurer to send cheques to all groups.
8. Letter from Mr D Cawte- application for position of treasurer
Action: Secretary to file for consideration.
9. Letter from Mrs C.Myers –application for position of General Secretary.
Action: Secretary to file for consideration
10. Email fromMr D Thalbourne- Application for the position of chairperson SAHPA Inc. for the 2009 season.
Action: Mr Thalbournes application will be considered by the members at the 2009 AGM.
11. Email from Tom Tirrell- Re- code of practice from CSIRO.
SAHPA would like flyers to be aware that boots of cars can be extremely hot on a warm day for transport of pigeons after sales and to be aware of this when putting birds in boots of cars and if possible to carry birds in cars.
12. Letter from Nth Suburban – Re more information in minutes.
Action: The Management committee acknowledges there concerns.
13. Promotions Committee- Mr G Watson passed on all books,statements and financial reports from the publicity committee.

9.GENERAL BUSINESS.
Reminder :
The cut off date for positions within SAHPA is Friday 13th February 2009.

All affiliate clubs of the SAHPA Inc. with the exception of the Adelaide Pigeon club pay a fee of $15.00 per member.
The $15.00 fee is to consist of a $5.00 member fee and a $10.00 fee for convoying on the SAHPA unit.
THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE WOULD LIKE TO THANK MR WARREN MOYLE FOR HIS YEARS OF SERVICE TO SAHPA.
